Between the 9th January 2017 and the 1st May 2017 Bournemouth Borough Council are undertaking a 16-week consultation on a proposal to introduce Selective Licensing to areas within the wards of Boscombe East, Boscombe West and East Cliff & Springbourne.
Selective Licensing means that all private landlords in an area have to be licensed by the Council. The license conditions will require the landlords to practice good standards of tenant and property management with the intention of tackling anti-social behaviour in the area.
Selective Licensing affects everyone. While tenants and landlords will be the most directly affected, we believe that the scheme will have an impact on the whole community, both inside and outside of the proposed area, and so we want to hear from as many people as possible.
More information can be found on Bournemouth Borough Council's Selective Licensing pages including details of the proposed scheme, an online questionnaire and details of consultation events
